The firm rejection follows the publication of new polling data from More in Common, which revealed that Conservative support currently stands at 23 per cent. The figures place the Tories just one single point ahead of Reform UK in the latest survey metrics.

The research, which surveyed 3,250 British voters between August 28 and August 31, underscores the growing electoral pressure facing the Conservative Party as Reform continues to challenge their traditional voter base across the country.

Despite mounting speculation over right-wing unity and vote-splitting concerns, Mr Tice’s remarks indicate that Reform UK intends to chart an independent course rather than pursue any form of political alliance or electoral pact.

Political analysts will be closely monitoring subsequent polling data to see whether the narrowing gap between the two parties triggers further debate over the future direction of the British right.
