The chief executive of the Police Federation of England and Wales, Mukund Krishna, has been sacked after being arrested on suspicion of fraud. This comes as a criminal investigation into allegations of fraud by abuse of position continues, alongside an ongoing employment tribunal where Krishna is accused of dismissing women as “stupid”.

Top Police Federation Boss Sacked

Mukund Krishna, who earned a salary and bonuses of £320,000 a year, has had his contract terminated by the Police Federation of England and Wales (PFEW). The decision follows his arrest in March on suspicion of fraud, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Two other former senior members of the national staff association were also arrested for the same offence. The City of London Police investigation into allegations of fraud relating to governance and financial decision-making within the PFEW is still ongoing, according to the Daily Mail.

Fraud Probe and Tribunal Allegations

The Daily Mail understands that Krishna agreed to leave his post immediately without notice or further payout, receiving only his basic salary up to May 31, 2026. The PFEW, which represents 145,000 rank and file officers, confirmed his employment ended and stated a process to appoint a permanent Chief Executive will begin.

This sacking comes weeks after Krishna was accused of dismissing women as “stupid” in an employment tribunal. Gemma Fox, a former deputy national secretary, is suing the federation, claiming Krishna called her “stupid” and said, “I know what women are like,” as detailed by the Daily Mail.

  • Mukund Krishna, PFEW chief executive, was sacked after his arrest for fraud.
  • He earned £320,000 annually in salary and bonuses.
  • Two other former senior PFEW members were also arrested for fraud.
  • City of London Police are investigating fraud allegations related to governance and financial decisions within the PFEW.
  • An employment tribunal heard allegations Krishna called women “stupid.”
  • Krishna has not publicly addressed either the fraud investigation or the tribunal claims.

What This Means for Britain

This scandal at the Police Federation raises serious questions about the leadership and accountability within an organisation vital to our police force. Ordinary British taxpayers expect integrity from those representing the officers who protect our communities.

The ongoing fraud investigation could undermine public trust in the institutions meant to support our police. This is particularly concerning when police funding and resources are already under immense pressure.

Allegations of misogyny within the PFEW, as heard in the employment tribunal, suggest a culture that is out of touch with the values ordinary people expect from public bodies. It highlights a potential disconnect between leadership and the rank-and-file officers.

For your police force to function effectively, its representative bodies must be beyond reproach. This situation demands transparency and swift action to restore confidence in the PFEW’s governance.

The PFEW’s crucial role in supporting police officers means any internal turmoil impacts the morale and effectiveness of those on the front line. British citizens rely on a strong, well-represented police force to keep our streets safe.

Share if you believe accountability is essential for all public bodies, especially those supporting our police.

  1. This is what happens when men from different ethnic backgrounds are appointed to positions of power, because sometimes due to their ethnicity and upbringing, where women are considered to be second class citizens and of little or no relevance, this attitude can come to the fore when these men attain positions of power. This is not racist but merely a fact of life and misogyny gains ground to the detriment of this country and our beliefs.

  2. Sarah : Spot on ! Add to that the crazy racial DEI that start to destroy unity in the job . Accelerate d promotion on the basis of melanin content of the skin only ; seen that numerous times , even knew one lad who was embarrassed and tried to say no there are better candidates and was told point blank ” We need a Black Officer .” He hated it but wanted a career ! And of course the classic ‘ Black Policeman’s Association .’ Everybody was bending over backwards for certain officers and Still they apparently needed the security of their own little club ……mindlessly bad management.
