A former supply teacher, Abusali Rahman, has pleaded guilty to 21 child sex offences, including upskirting and making indecent photographs of children, targeting 13 schoolgirls across multiple schools in the North West.

Horrifying Abuse of Trust

Abusali Rahman, 36, from Salford, admitted to the extensive list of charges at Bolton Crown Court, as reported by GB News. The offences took place over an 18-month period, from December 2023 to June 2025, involving 13 different schoolgirls.

Rahman, a British national, pleaded guilty to 12 counts of taking indecent photographs of children by upskirting, four counts of publishing an obscene article, and three counts of making indecent photographs of children. He also admitted to single counts of voyeurism and distributing an indecent photograph of a child, according to GB News.

“Mental Health Crisis” Claim Dismissed

His lawyer, Emma Kehoe, claimed Rahman was experiencing a “mental health crisis” at the time of the offences and requested a psychiatric report ahead of sentencing. However, Senior Prosecutor Alex Mann highlighted the severe breach of trust, stating Rahman “fell well below the standards expected of his role,” as reported by GB News.

  • Rahman pleaded guilty to 21 child sex offences at Bolton Crown Court.
  • Offences included upskirting, voyeurism, and making/distributing indecent images.
  • Thirteen schoolgirls were targeted across various North West schools.
  • The crimes spanned from December 2023 to June 2025.
  • He was arrested after a parent found an image of their daughter on social media.
  • Sentencing is scheduled for September 1, 2026.

What This Means for Britain

This case exposes a horrifying betrayal of trust within the education system, leaving parents wondering how such individuals can gain access to their children.

The fact that a parent discovered an image of their child online highlights the constant vigilance required from ordinary families, while the system designed to protect them failed.

For the 13 schoolgirls and their families, the trauma of these offences will be long-lasting, underscoring the devastating impact of such crimes on young lives.

Greater Manchester Police’s investigation, which led to Rahman’s guilty pleas, shows that dedicated teams are working to tackle online child abuse, but the sheer volume of cases remains a national concern.

This incident will undoubtedly fuel calls for stricter vetting and monitoring of all staff in schools, particularly supply teachers who move between institutions, to ensure children’s safety.

The justice system must deliver a sentence that reflects the gravity of these crimes and acts as a deterrent, reassuring the public that child abusers face severe consequences.

Share if you believe our children deserve absolute protection in schools, and those who betray that trust must face the full force of the law.
