Labour has been forced to tone down a US-style attack advert filled with controversial quotes from Reform UK politicians after broadcasters ruled the original version too offensive for television.
Advert Deemed Too Offensive
The early version of the pre-election advert was rejected over comments made by Ian Cooper, the former leader of Staffordshire county council, who called London a “third world s—hole” run by a “narcissistic Pakistani”. Mr Cooper was expelled by Reform in December 2025 and now sits as an independent councillor.
Revised Ad Still Targets Reform
The revised version will feature comments by Reform MP Sarah Pochin and Peter York, the former vice-chairman of West Northamptonshire council. The full offensive version will still be used online.
Labour: “Battle Over Values”
A Labour source said the advert is part of a “battle over our values” and accused Reform of holding “toxic views”. The party is projected to lose hundreds of council seats to Reform in the May 7 local elections.

What This Means for Britain
This latest episode shows Labour’s desperation as they face heavy losses in the upcoming local elections. Instead of addressing the cost-of-living crisis, energy bills or small boat crossings, Labour is resorting to negative attack adverts against Reform UK.
The public is increasingly turning to Reform UK because they are tired of the old parties’ failures. The May 7 local elections will be a clear test of whether voters want real change or more of the same from Labour.

I am sick of this Labour Government. There are no depths they won’t sink to. They are manipulating and corrupt. This country cannot wait until their time is up. We need rid of them now.
They are the most corrupt government we’ve ever had.
