Nigel Farage has issued a stark warning, declaring “the British people will not put up with this any longer” following a controversial Ramadan event in London’s Trafalgar Square, echoing concerns raised by a Tory MP about public Muslim prayer being an “act of domination.” This comes as the political establishment, including Sir Keir Starmer and the Prime Minister, line up to condemn those who dare to speak plain common sense about the changing face of our capital.
What Actually Happened
The controversy erupted after an “Open Iftar” event was held in Trafalgar Square. Tory MP Nick Timothy ignited a firestorm by posting on X that “Mass ritual prayer in public places is an act of domination,” adding that such rituals should be performed in mosques, not “our public places and shared institutions.” His comments specifically mentioned the Adhan, stating that “when called in a public place, is a declaration of domination.”
Following Timothy’s remarks, Nigel Farage, Leader of Reform UK, weighed in, supporting the sentiment. Farage stated that what was witnessed in Trafalgar Square, a site built on Judeo-Christian values, was “a group of people attempting dominance over our capital city and our culture.” He made it clear that “We are not going to surrender everything that was built over centuries and defended at great cost in two world wars for us to be a free, independent nation.”
The political establishment quickly mobilised against Timothy and Farage. Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer called for Timothy to be sacked as Shadow Justice Secretary, claiming the Tory Party “has got a problem with Muslims” and urged Kemi Badenoch to fire Timothy. London Mayor Sadiq Khan, who attended the event, branded the remarks a “megaphone dog whistle,” while Commons Leader Sir Alan Campbell lectured on “freedom of religion and the right to peaceful expression” as “fundamental British values,” warning against “getting into the gutter.”

“What we witnessed in London at the historic Trafalgar Square, in a country built on Judeo-Christian values, was a group of people attempting dominance over our capital city and our culture. The British people will not put up with this any longer — simple as.”

Why This Matters For Britain
This incident is a stark illustration of the deep chasm between the common-sense views of ordinary Britons and the out-of-touch political establishment. When a prominent public space like Trafalgar Square, a symbol of British history and identity, hosts an event that some perceive as a display of cultural dominance, it raises legitimate questions about national identity and sovereignty. The immediate, coordinated backlash from the political class against anyone daring to voice these concerns shows how terrified they are of honest debate.
For too long, the British people have been told to ignore the obvious, to accept changes to their communities and culture without question. The swift condemnation of Nick Timothy and Nigel Farage for simply articulating what many are thinking is a classic example of the establishment’s attempt to shut down common-sense discussion and label dissent as ‘extremism’. This isn’t about religious freedom; it’s about whether British values and traditions are to be respected in our own capital, or if they must yield to other cultures without challenge.
The public are fed up with being lectured by politicians who seem more concerned with virtue-signalling and appeasing vocal minorities than defending the core values of the nation. The idea that questioning the appropriateness of mass public prayer in a secular, historic square is somehow ‘divisive’ or ‘getting into the gutter’ is an insult to the intelligence of the common-sense majority. This entire episode exposes the political class’s deep-seated fear of confronting uncomfortable truths about the direction of our society and their willingness to silence any who dare to speak out.
The Bottom Line
Nigel Farage is right: the British people are reaching their limit. The establishment’s swift, coordinated attack on anyone who dares to question the cultural shifts happening in our country is a betrayal of common sense and an attempt to stifle legitimate debate. It’s time for politicians to stop lecturing and start listening to the millions of Britons who feel their country’s identity is being eroded by those who refuse to defend it.

This has got to stop. We are a Christian led community not Muslim.. No other religion is allowed this exploitation. Let us return to our true and only values before it is too late
I agree with Nigel & co….we have had enough of foreign cultures and faiths being foisted upon us. We are a Christian country with Christian values and what’s more it is OUR country and we like it just the way it was before ‘multiculturalism’ came to town. It has not worked and we want it stopped. If they love their faith that much then they can go and practise it in an appropriate country, not ours. When in England do as the English do or go.
Starmer his front bench and that toad Sadik Khan arsenal traitors. All that is happening is a deliberate act. They want our country to become an Islamic State and they are getting there very quickly. We need to act and fast.
Help please someone needs the authority to call a vote of NO CONFIDENC in this Liebour party A.S.A.P BEFORE IT IS TO LATE
