Almost 2,400 people were arrested across France over the weekend as riots and looting swept the country, with Reform UK leader Nigel Farage warning that the carnage could be “our future” unless Britain wakes up. Jordan Bardella demanded a halt to immigration as shops were ransacked, public buildings torched and damage ran into hundreds of millions of euros. The National Rally president accused those behind the destruction of hating the nation that welcomed their families, while US President Donald Trump pointed to uncontrolled immigration making France ungovernable.

Bardella condemned what he called a “deadly convergence between ultra-left rioters and predators from the suburbs”. He said: “A very large proportion of the looters are people from immigrant backgrounds who do not feel French.” He accused them of expressing “hatred” towards “a country that, very often, welcomed their parents and showed great generosity towards their own families”. Footage showed masked looters carrying away televisions and stealing motorbikes. The government said at least 3,000 businesses had been attacked.

Interior minister Laurent Nunez admitted police had “lost control” in some cities. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu called for localised curfews from Monday evening. The demonstrations were ostensibly about living costs, education standards and opposition to Emmanuel Macron’s government. They soon descended into arson and looting as rioters torched public buildings and ransacked shops.

Bardella explicitly rejected claims that poverty could excuse the wrecking spree. “Nothing will ever justify burning down a brand new secondary school”, he said, also condemning attacks on tourist offices, town halls and sports facilities. He accused violent groups of being driven by hatred, warning: “That desire for revenge will continue for as long as the state remains weak.” His answer was a crackdown, alongside restored discipline and authority in schools. “We therefore need a very strong response on security. But we also need to stop immigration.”

Farage and Reform sound the alarm

Farage issued a stark warning for Britain. “If we don’t wake up, the carnage in France is our future.” The Reform UK leader called for a return to law, order and secure borders. Reform UK Shadow Chancellor Robert Jenrick also warned: “Mass migration and soft-touch law and order destroys countries. Macron has chosen to ignore this obvious fact. We can either do the same and face a similar fate, or fight to save Britain.” Jenrick added that Britain was heading for the same disaster: “France is on fire. This fate awaits us too, if we don’t wake up quickly. Mass migration, multiculturalism and self-loathing is destroying Europe. It will destroy Britain too. We have one chance to save our country.”

Britain cannot pretend the scenes across the Channel are someone else’s problem. Open borders and weak authority invite the same breakdown here. A country that refuses to control who enters and enforce the law will not stay governable for long.

Trump accused “immigrants with hatred in their hearts” of driving the disorder. Bardella’s demand for an immigration halt sits alongside the call for firm security and school discipline. The numbers already tell their own story: thousands of arrests, thousands of businesses hit, and ministers admitting control slipped in places.

What happens next turns on whether France restores order and whether Britain treats the warning with the seriousness it deserves. Farage and Reform UK have set out the choice plainly: secure borders and proper law and order, or watch the same fate arrive. The filing from Reform News Team leaves little room for complacency as the fires and looting continue.

And Nigel is right, when the left lose power and Nigel implements the ICE program and cuts to benefits, and other excellent ideas to get these scroungers back to work, the left will take to the street and because the police have allowed the left so much freedom they will be unable to control the tears and riots will ensue. Remember Maggie and the Poll Tax a brilliant Idea and it was fair but not fair to lefties so they came out in force and rioted… all I have seen of the right is a few incidents, when you look at the unite the kingdom rally in London 100’s of thousands and 8 arrests on the right twenty on the left from a 50 odd leftie group, now let me think about that !!!!!!
