Nadine Dorries said on X that she felt physically disgusted and shocked after watching an ITV report last night on Reform UK and councillor Alan Feeney. She argued Feeney, a long-serving former Conservative who later joined Reform, drove the sequence of events to its conclusion and that the racist language on camera was exaggerated, dramatic and bizarre.

Dorries noted Feeney had been a Conservative councillor for a decade and was known to many Conservative councillors and MPs. He passed Conservative vetting several times, helped Kemi Badenoch in her leadership campaign against Robert Jenrick, and was pictured with both Badenoch and James Cleverly. He left the Conservatives in June 2025, sat briefly as an independent, joined Reform UK in September 2025, was re-elected as Reform in May 2026, served as deputy leader of the Reform group on Solihull Council and later deputy mayor, then agreed to leave Reform on 12 October 2026 for personal reasons and continue as an independent.

She said Nigel Farage is clear that racism will not be tolerated in Reform. Dorries added that elsewhere in Westminster antisemitism remains alive and well, particularly in Labour and the Green Party, hiding in plain sight. Only Reform, the political disruptor and challenger to the cosy two-party consensus, faces this degree of scrutiny, she wrote.

Dorries said she had watched the report back three times. In her view Feeney, the protagonist, pushed the story along, with language off the scale and behaviour that looked like playing to the gallery. She called the freakish, perverted remarks of the man who spoke about “if that was my daughter” truly revolting.

Reform is a party where people of every race and women do and will continue to play key roles, Dorries said, or she would not be there. The public, she argued, now see the undercover stings on Reform for what they are. The former minister’s post framed the ITV package as a set-up that Feeney himself advanced, while insisting Farage’s line against racism is firm and that the real double standard sits with Labour, the Greens and the wider Westminster consensus that still ducks proper scrutiny of its own failings.
