Farage vows state crackdown to end illegal living in Britain

Nigel Farage has pledged that a Reform UK government would turn every lever of the state against illegal residence in Britain, after more than 200,000 migrants have crossed the Channel by small boat. Writing in material drawn from the Daily Mail on 13th October, he called the crossings an invasion and said the main pull remains a lifetime on benefits paid by British taxpayers, or illegal work on the black market.

Under Reform, universal credit, housing benefit, free childcare and most non-contributory benefits would be limited to British citizens only. A so-called Deliveroo Law would make bosses of large firms personally and criminally liable for profiting from illegal labour. Councils would gain powers to run immigration checks when inspecting restaurants and domestic properties, and the use of migrant hotels would end.

Reform UK would close all resettlement schemes that have brought thousands of people here. Anyone arriving through Labour’s routes, which Farage says are set to reopen, would face revocation of the right to remain and deportation. To make that stick, the party would leave the European Convention on Human Rights, repeal the Human Rights Act, pass an Illegal Migration (Mass Deportations) Bill and disapply the 1951 Refugee Convention.

Countries that refuse to take back their own nationals who entered illegally would face visa bans or tariffs. In extreme cases, third-country deals would be used to remove people elsewhere. Full data on the nationalities of criminal offenders would be published, ending what Farage called the disgraceful secrecy of successive governments.

He framed the package as the most comprehensive, unapologetic and realistic plan to end the illegal-migration scam and secure the borders, and said time is running out. He challenged Andy Burnham, whom he labelled Open Borders Burnham, to call an election and let voters choose who sits in Downing Street. The message is blunt: stay illegally, and the state will make ordinary life in Britain impossible.
