Farage Unveils New Reform Welsh Leader

Nigel Farage has officially announced Helen Jenner as the new leader of Reform UK in Wales following a tumultuous week in Cardiff Bay. According to the Daily Express, the appointment comes directly in the wake of her predecessor’s sudden resignation.

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage unveiled Helen Jenner outside the Senedd on Monday morning, establishing her as the new head of the party’s group in the Welsh Parliament. Ms Jenner, who previously served as the party’s deputy leader in Wales and represents Bangor Conwy Môn, steps into the role following the departure of Dan Thomas.

Mr Thomas announced he was standing down from the leadership last week for personal reasons after being arrested on suspicion of assault and coercive behaviour. While Gwent Police later confirmed he was released without charge, Mr Farage stated that it had become untenable for him to continue in the role.

Helen Jenner is now the leader of Reform in Wales, and the group leader in the Senedd.

Addressing supporters and reporters after the announcement, Ms Jenner outlined her immediate priorities for the Senedd group. A former teacher of fifteen years, she has served as the party’s Shadow Cabinet Minister for Education and the Welsh Language since winning her seat in May.
