Nigel Farage has issued a hardline deportation ultimatum to Pakistan after Islamabad rejected Labour’s appeals to take back Rochdale grooming gang ringleader Shabir Ahmed, according to GB News. The Reform leader slammed the diplomatic failure as humiliating for the nation.

The diplomatic stand-off intensified after Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, informed Ed Miliband that no bilateral agreement exists between the two nations that would legally allow the transfer of child rapists. The UK had formally requested Ahmed’s deportation following his release from prison on July 2.

Mr Farage did not hold back in his assessment of the failed negotiations, describing the government’s current predicament in stark terms.

Nigel Farage described the appeals as ‘humiliating’ for Britain.
