An exclusive report reveals plans to move another 10,000 asylum seekers into houses, flats, and bedsits across London, the southern counties, and Wales, further straining local infrastructure and resources. This surge in dispersal accommodation comes as the Home Secretary vows to close migrant hotels, shifting the burden directly onto already struggling communities.

Council chiefs are considering plans to house Channel migrants alongside social housing tenants, a move that could see hundreds of asylum seekers placed in properties shared with local authorities. This strategy aims to significantly increase dispersal accommodation, moving away from hotel use but intensifying pressure on residential areas.

The Shocking Scale of Dispersal

Clearspring Ready Homes, an asylum accommodation provider, confirmed that their “main thrust” is to significantly increase dispersal. They have submitted proposals to the Home Office to create up to 10,000 additional bedspaces, with approximately 50 per cent of these proposals already underway.

Some 2,500 migrants are expected to occupy these new homes in the coming weeks and months. The properties will be furnished following “consultation” with local councils, and are described as “proposed, ready to go, and waiting to be turned live.”

What People Are Saying

Our main thrust has always been to come away from hotels and to try to get back to our core business, which, as you quite rightly identified, is dispersal accommodation. We have had negotiations and conversations with the Home Office and with the local authorities and communities about how we can significantly increase dispersal.

— Chris Lakey, CEO, Clearspring Ready Homes

Mr Lakey’s comments to MPs confirm the strategic shift towards embedding asylum seekers directly into communities. This move, while presented as a return to “core business,” signals a dramatic expansion of the current dispersal model, despite existing concerns about infrastructure strain.

  • Another 10,000 asylum seekers are slated for houses, flats, and bedsits across London, the southern counties, and Wales.
  • Hundreds could be placed in properties shared with local social housing tenants, merging migrant accommodation with local needs.
  • The current cost of housing 350 people at Crowborough military base is £160 per night, exceeding average hotel costs.
  • There are already 68,719 asylum seekers living in houses, flats, and bedsits, including large HMOs, across the country.
  • Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has pledged to close every migrant hotel by the next General Election, pushing the issue into residential areas.

What This Means for Britain

This aggressive push to house 10,000 more asylum seekers in residential areas will directly impact working families. Your local services, from GP appointments to school places, are already stretched. Adding thousands more to communities without adequate infrastructure will only exacerbate these pressures, making everyday life harder for ordinary Britons.

Economically, the cost of housing asylum seekers remains staggering, with military bases costing more than hotels in some instances. This continued financial burden, whether in hotels or dispersed housing, drains taxpayer money that could be invested in vital public services or easing the cost of living crisis for British citizens.

Politically, this plan highlights a pattern of the establishment failing to control immigration, instead choosing to redistribute the problem into towns and cities. Despite promises to end “HMO Britain” and tackle the “unfairness of the immigration system,” the reality is a further embedding of asylum seekers into the fabric of our communities, often without local consent or sufficient planning.

The stakes are clear: if this trend continues, our communities risk being overwhelmed. The social cohesion and resources of our towns and cities are being tested to breaking point. This is not just a policy decision; it is a fundamental shift in how Britain operates, and every citizen must understand the implications NOW.

Share if you believe Britain deserves better than having its communities overwhelmed without proper consultation or infrastructure. Demand answers from your MP on how this plan will affect your local area. This must be seen by every British voter.

  1. What the F**K is wrong with the government dispersing 10,000 illegal immigrants across different communities I KNOW IT IS A DELIBERATE PLOY TO GET THESE FIGHTING AGE MEN INTO AREAS WHERE THEY CAN EASILY BE CALLED UP TO FIGHT, CALL ME A CONSPIRACY THEORIST BUT I SEEMS A BIT WEIRD INSTEAD OF KEEPING THEM IN A PLACE LIKE A HOTEL SO PEOPLE CAN KEEP AN EYE ON THEM BUT KNOW THEY DECIDE TO CAUSE UTTER CHAOS INSTEAD!!!

  2. So what safeguards are in place to protect vulnerable UK citizens from potential unwanted attention by undocumented males from vastly differing cultures and societal norms? Just Liebour kicking the problem down the road, with the intent of blaming local authorities when it all goes wrong.
